Estimate: $6.1 - $6.5 Million. Description of the Work: A. Construction of the pond at Pond #2 includes clearing and grubbing activities, excavation, enlargement of the existing pond, earth fill compaction, installation of an underdrain system, installation of a geonet composite and HDPE liner on the interior slopes of the pond, and slope liner protection for the interior slopes. B. Repairs at Pond #17 include removing the existing liner system, repairing any concrete and underdrain deficiencies, installing a new HDPE liner system, and installing shotcrete slope protection for a portion of the interior slopes. C. The project will include utility work such as rerouting a storm pipe, replacing a storm manhole, capping and removing existing utility lines, installation of a wet well, and installing a new valve and headwall for the existing bypass pipeline. Please direct all questions related to the design of this Project to the Q&A Section. The Project is to be substantially complete and ready for operation 270 days after Notice to Proceed. Offerors must submit an acceptable Bid Security with their Bids as a guarantee that the Successful Offeror will enter into a contract for the Project with the Owner within 15 days of Notice of Award of the Contract. The Bid Security must be payable to the City of Lago Vista in the amount of 5 percent of the proposed Contract Price. The Successful Offeror must execute the Contract and bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents and provide evidence of insurance as required by the Contract Documents. Bid Security may be in the form of a bid bond, a cashier's check, or certified check. It is the intent of the Owner to award this Contract to the lowest responsible Offeror. The Owner reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the Bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating bid prices, to reject any or all Bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids will remain subject to acceptance and may not be withdrawn within 60 days from the date on which Bids are opened.
