NSMJAWA Streamwood Booster Pumping Station Generator Replacement Project The work included in this Contract shall consist of furnishing all the materials, labor, equipment and incidentals required to complete removal and replacement of the generator including removal of the existing diesel UST and connection of a new gas service at the Northwest Booster Station, as well as the conversion of the Chlorination Room into a washroom. And any appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project inclusive of all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to ensure a successful project. PROJECT LOCATION s- STREAMWOOD BOOSTER PUMPING STATION 1101 EAST SCHAUMBURGH RD. STREAMWOOD, IL 60107 Northwest Booster Pumping Station (790 Hassell Rd . , Hoffman Estates, IL 60169). Removal of 480V diesel standby generator, diesel fuel system , underground diesel storage tank, impacted soils, excess materials, and associated mechanical and electrical connections. The proposed work is officially known as NSMJAWA - STREAMWOOD BOOSTER PUMPING STATION GENERATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT. Work includes the following: The CONTRACTOR is responsible for obtaining the required municipal building permit from the Village of Streamwood. Removal of 480V diesel standby generator, diesel fuel system, underground diesel storage tank, impacted soils, excess materials, and associated mechanical and electrical connections. Removal and replacement of concrete generator pad and floor slab. Installation of a new 480V natural gas water-cooled standby generator, utility supplied natural gas fuel system, and associated electrical and plumbing connections. Installation of new 480V Manual Transfer Switch (MTS), MTS Connection Cabinet, and associated electrical connections. Replacement of 480V Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), ATS Connection Cabiner, and associated electrical connections. Replacement of Current Transformer (CT) Cabinet and power cables. Replacement of Main Breaker at the Streamwood Booster Pumping Station. (ALTERNATE) Replacement of Main Breaker and installation of Service Entrance Disconnect at the Northwest Booster Pumping Station (790 Hassell Rd . , Hoffman Estates, IL 60169). Provide temporary diesel standby generator during required construction activities including temporary cabling, cable protection, diesel fuel , and maintenance. Removal of intake louvers, modification to masonry openings, and installation of new intake louvers. Removal and replacement of pump room roof exhaust fans. Removal and replacement of sanitary ejector pumps. Conversion of the chlorine room into a washroom consisting of the following work: removal of exterior door and interior window, removal of chlorination equipment and associated mechanical and electrical connections, installation of new plumbing fixtures and pipework, new interior door, and any other miscellaneous work required for complete installation and meeting relevant building codes. Any additional appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project, and all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to insure a successful project. The Contractor will work in a deliberate and safe manner. The safety of the Public, the NSMJAWA Staff and the Contractor's Employees is the TOP PRIORITY. NSMJAWA has determined that the work of this contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Contractor will work in a neat fashion and ensure a clean work environment. The Contractor will properly clean and dispose of all work debris and neatly store all tools at the end of each workday.
