The work to be accomplished under this contract is for the Maryland Police and Training Commissions (PCTC) located at 4852 4th Street, Sykesville, MD 21784. The successful Contractor is to provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, supplies, insurance, coordination, etc. required for tuckpointing and restoration to preserve the brickwork integrity and aesthetic appeal of the Men's Home, and the Jones and Administration Buildings. This project includes the tuckpointing of all affected brickwork areas including but not limited to walls, chimneys, and other brick surfaces as identified. All work is to be in accordance with the most recent version of the State of Maryland, Department of General Services, General Conditions for Construction Contracts, bid documents, and references contained in this scope of work. The Project Cost Classification for this solicitation is: Small Procurement Category III, under $200,000. Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this Solicitation. The work shall be completed within 365 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquated damages of $ 350.00 per calendar day as specified in the General Conditions The base bid shall include without limitation, labor, materials, bailing, shoring, removal, overhead, profit, insurance (including builder's risk insurance, if applicable) etc. The deadline for questions has been established as February 14, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. to assure that there is enough time to allow the A/E to provide responses and Addendum issuance if necessary.
