The WORK to be performed by the successful BIDDER (CONTRACTOR) consists of providing all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals for the OWNER to install approximately 12,830 linear feet of waterline and appurtenances along State Route 202 in Bethel Township The Board of Miami County Commissioners, Miami County, Ohio through the Miami County Sanitary Engineering Department (OWNER) presently operates a water/wastewater distribution system located in Bethel, Concord, Monroe, and Springcreek Townships, Miami County, Ohio. The OWNER desires to receive bids and have work performed that is herein specified to include installation for the OWNER to install approximately 12,830 linear feet of waterline and appurtenances along State Route 202 in Bethel Township Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or a Bid Bond. If accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check, it must be for a sum of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. If accompanied by a Bid Bond it must be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Ohio, for the full sum of the bid amount pursuant to Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The required Bid Bond, certified check or cashier's check shall be made payable to Board of Miami County Commissioners. Within ten (10) days of receiving the Notice of Award, the successful BIDDER shall submit a Performance Bond executed by a surety company licensed to do business in Ohio for a sum of 100% of the total bid amount payable to the Board of Miami County Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). The Performance Bond shall remain in effect for the entire term of the contract. Prior to final payment, the successful BIDDER shall furnish a Maintenance and Guarantee Bond, executed by a surety company licensed to do business in Ohio, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Contract price, payable to the Board of Miami County Commissioners. This bond shall be retained for a period of one (1) year after acceptance of the project. The OWNER reserves the right for the bids to remain open and subject to acceptance for a period ofup to sixty (60) days after the day of the opening of Bids. The OWNER may, however, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the bid surety prior to that date. The OWNER may award the bid and enter into contract prior to that date Question Deadline 09/05/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted, in writing, to the Miami County Sanitary Engineering Office to the attention of Joshua Lococo, 2200 North County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received at least five (5) days prior to the bid opening date. Any interpretations of questions so raised, which in the opinion of the OWNER may require interpretations, will be issued by Addenda mailed, facsimile
