Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for the construction of a 20,000-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Construction of a new, state-of-the-art Zoo Animal Health Centre to replace the existing outdated hospital. This new facility will become a feature and attraction at the Zoo allowing the public to view animal care and ongoing medical research, along with providing care to the Zoo's animals. The animal hospital will be rebuilt at a new location within the zoo, closer to the visitors' entrance and almost tripling its size to 20,000 square feet. TIMELINE: Design is preliminary. Updates may be available spring 2026. *The total construction budget established for this project is Fifteen Million Dollars ($15,000,000), inclusive of hard construction costs, site work, landscaping, finishes, permits, taxes, etc. and a 15% construction contingency.
