Renovation of a parking garage in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
The improvement includes the modernization of two (2) 7-stop, electric overhead geared traction passenger elevators located in one shared hoistway in the northwest corner of the 9th & Locust Parking Garage, mechanical improvements in the elevator penthouses in the northwest and southeast corners of the garage, and all associated electrical improvements, including a potential add-alternate for the modernization of the two other elevators in the southeast corner of the garage, all in accordance with the contract documents including Plan File No. 668-210/232, located at the 9th & Locust Parking Garage, 801 Locust Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Engineer's Construction Estimate. $675,000.00 This project shall be fully completed not later than October 1, 2025 and in accordance with the Completion Provisions. The City of Des Moines is pleased to provide accommodations to individuals with disabilities or groups and encourages participation in City government. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction.
