Site work for a civil project in East Liverpool, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Waste Water Treatment Plant Improvements - Phase 1 The work to be performed under this contract is located within the City of East Liverpool, Ohio at the City of East Liverpool Waste Water Treatment Plant (500 West 4th Street) and which includes the following general improvements: removal & replacement of outdated and/or non-functioning equipment, removal & replacement of deteriorating equipment incidentals, and general maintenance work in the following locations: Headworks/Carpenters Run Pump Station; Inflow Retention Basin; Grit Building; Digesters; and Control Building. Each bidder shall be required to complete and file with their bid the enclosed Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Bond, Warranty Bond Form (Section 153.54 O.R.C.) issued by a Surety Company licensed and authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Each bid must be accompanied by either a Bid Bond in the amount of (100%) of the "Total Amount Bid" or a Bid Guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in an amount equal to (10%) of the "Total Amount Bid". This procurement is subject to the EPA policy of encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). Attention is called to certain Federal requirements on this project, including but not limited to Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, DBE Requirements, and Domestic Steel & Iron Product Requirements. Federal law prohibits preference to local contractors as per FHWA's "Contract Administration Core Curriculum Participant's Manual and Reference Guide 2001" (Chapter II A) and as per Form FHWA-1273. City of East Liverpool, Ohio Ordinance No. 49, adopted on September 16, 1996, gives preference to Local Contractors who bid for City Contracts. This City Ordinance is not applicable to this Contract. The City of East Liverpool reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their bid within one hundred twenty (120) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Engineer's Total Estimated Construction Cost for this project is $4,258,000.00. DBE GOAL: 2.3% (1.3% MBE'S and 1.0% WBE's)
