Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The rehabilitation project consists of replacing the northeast wingwall barrier of the structure which carries Valley Road over Deep Creek. The items of work are identified more specifically in the Project Specifications. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. PA Prevailing Wages apply to this project. Contractors must be prequalified. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of THE COUNTY OF SCHUYLKILL, negotiable US Government Bonds (at par value), or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid of construction shall be submitted with each bid. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Bid may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Owner shall reject all bids or award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within 60 days of the bid opening. Questions must be submitted, via online by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
