Site work and renovation of a civil project in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of improvements to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) including a new headworks building, installation of a new flash mix tank, rehabilitation of the primary and secondary clarifiers and associated equipment, rehabilitation of the aeration tanks and associated equipment, conversion of two aeration tanks to swing equalization basins, replacement of aeration blowers, installation of a new magnesium hydroxide system, replacement of the chlorine gas system with sodium hypochlorite disinfection, repair and rehabilitation of the primary digester, construction of a new boiler building and digester gas handling equipment, demolition of the secondary digesters, refurbishment of the laboratory, replacement of the existing belt filter press with a dewatering screw press, upgrade of the plant electrical service, installation of a new SCADA system and various piping, and site work associated with the improvements. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid total, payable to Tamaqua Borough Authority in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
