Renovation of a municipal facility in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Expected Contract Value: $20 - $30K Project Location: Tamaqua Borough Hall Building. The Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the Tamaqua Borough - CDBG Program - ADA Renovations to the Bathrooms project. This project will include the construction of interior ADA renovations to the Borough Hall bathrooms. The particular items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Format, Contract Specifications and Contract Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, or certified check or cashier's check, payable to County of Schuylkill, in the amount of not less than ten percent of the total amount bid. The County reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. Bidders must submit with their bids the non-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents. All Questions due by 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019, submitted by email to mkrammes@benesch.com, mhummel@benesch.com or posted online Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, and related matters. The Contractor will be required to comply with the Provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act in providing equal employment opportunities in connection with all work. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form. The bidders must submit documentary evidence of minority and or women business enterprises that have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. Documentation of such solicitations and commitments shall be submitted concurrently with the bid (Form DCED-CCD-286). Failure to submit this form will render the bid non-responsive and therefore result in rejection of the bid.
