Renovation of a municipal facility in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Location and Description. The project is located at five Commercial Business Districts, Fremont, CA and is described as follows: The work is to provide equipment and labor to install Wi-Fi devices at the City's Commercial Districts with nine locations. The City's equipment vendor, SmartWAVE to provide the contractor with all radio equipment, radio mount, power cables, grounding clamps and patch cable. Contractor to provide shielded CAT6A outdoor rated cable from Wi-Fi device to the traffic signal box and all other necessary material to complete the installation. Additional information is attached regarding the scope of work and locations is under Exhibit B. View drawings for installation details along with a KMZ file and a spreadsheet per area identifying radio type and installation locations. Contractor working with SmartWAVE to test and ensure all equipment functions as its design per manufacturer. Contractor to provide traffic control plan for City to approve where work is in the public right away. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: Ninety (90) calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed to Final Completion. Estimated Project Cost. The estimated construction cost, or construction cost range, for the Project is $500,000. This estimate serves only as a guideline to bidders of the scope of the Work and the Project. No bidder, including the successful bidder, is entitled to make any claim against City based on inaccuracy of the estimated cost or range of cost of the Work or the Project. License and Registration Requirements. 1 License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): C-10 Contractor. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. 2 DIR Registration. City may not accept a Bid Proposal from, or enter into the Contract with, a bidder without proof that the bidder is registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to perform public work under Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award. General. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes. Minimum Wage. This Contract may be subject to the City Minimum Wage Ordinance, codified in Fremont Municipal Code Chapter 5.30. Contractor represents it has read and understands the City's minimum wage requirements and agrees to fully comply with the ordinance. Contractor shall promptly provide any documents and information required by City to verify compliance. us bid walk.
