The Township of Old Bridge is seeking proposals for coring and testing of the asphalt overlay on Throckmorton Lane. The Township of Old Bridge recently completed resurfacing Throckmorton Lane. The project was funded through two separate NJDOT Local Aid Grant Applications. The first phase was approximately 3,950 linear feet with 2,400 tons being installed. Phase I extended from NJSH 9 to Hastings Road. The second phase was approximately 3,640 linear feet with approximately 2,300 tons being installed. This phase was between Hastings Road to Cindy Street. The Township of Old Bridge is seeking proposals for coring and testing of the asphalt overlay on Throckmorton Lane. Two separate core testing results are needed for both Phase I and II. See attached project location map. The core tests must be performed in accordance with N.J.D.O.T.'s requirements for thickness, density and air voids. The applicable Specification for this contract is the 2019 U.S. Customary English Standard Specification, latest revision. Bidders to determine the number of cores to be taken in each respective phase of the Throckmorton Lane Project and provide the information in the proposal. The Bidder shall provide the results of the test on the appropriate NJDOT Bituminous Concrete Testing Report and include information on any penalty that may apply. The Cores must be taken, and a Report provided within 15 Calendar Days upon approval of Quote by the Township. Contractors must be fully insured. Proof of Insurance, Business Registration and Pay to Play Certification (included as a separate document) must be included when you return the proposal.
