The City's facilities inventory includes 28 buildings with approximately 532,000 square feet. The total square feet indicates the size of the buildings area and not necessarily the area to be maintained by this contract. The Contractor awarded this Request for Proposal (RFP) shall provide Flooring Repair and installation services for all City owned or leased facilities as detailed in this RFP. The type of facility uses includes office/professional, maintenance operations, recreational, educational, and public safety. There is public access to most City facilities, hours of operations will vary based upon facility type. The intent of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from highly qualified firms with expertise in providing Flooring Repair and Installation Services for public facilities. The City will award the contract to the most qualified proponent that will provide the best value to the City based upon the specifications included in this Request for Proposal. The work will include but not limited to furnish, install and repair all types flooring including but not limited to carpet, VCT, LVT, Sheet vinyl and Epoxy coatings. The Contractor will be required to perform services in City owned or leased buildings or as directed by the City Representative. The City currently budgets $23,000 per fiscal year for Flooring Repair and Installation Services. The quantities in the "Pricing" section are estimates and will be used to compare bid proposals. However, due to the fluctuating uncertain economic times there are no guarantees for the amount of work the City may request. The flooring product will be required to meet the minimum standards set forth in this document, or equal to, or may exceed. Furnish all labor, materials, and incidentals necessary to complete soft surface flooring and accessories as specified herein, and as needed for a complete and proper installation. All bidders shall quote in conformance with the exact specifications in this document. Any proposed substitutions must follow strictly the conditions stated for prior approval and the manufacturer must be listed on the proposal form.
