Renovation of a municipal facility in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Upgrade of Emergency Services Building Project A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of CITY OF BLACKWELL, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. The Owner will retain the deposit, and for liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter into said contract and furnish the required bonds provided for the specifications within the time required. Deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon the execution of the Contract and required bonds. Construction, Maintenance and Statutory Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a Corporate Surety licensed in Oklahoma an approved by the Owner and Engineer will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, and the bidder shall state in the proposal the name and address of the Surety or Sureties who will sign this bond in case the contract is awarded to him. The Maintenance Bond required will guarantee the repair of all damage due to improper materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) years after the acceptance of the work by the Owner Prior to the awarding of the Contract, the CITY OF BLACKWELL may defer its decision for a period not to exceed (60) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract. Contract to be awarded to the lowest and best responsive responsible bidder or as otherwise permitted by state law. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bidding. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids in accordance with the Oklahoma Competitive Bidding Act. Do not include state or local sales tax in your bid. The successful bidder will be appointed the City's agent for purposes of sales tax exemption It is the desire and intention of the Owner to award the contract for construction during the next City Meeting on August 15,2024, at 6:00 p.m. The Emergency Services Building needs repair. Engineering plans are provided for the installation of the bay heater for the housing of response vehicles. The nature of the windows or doors being requested shall be the same or like those already provided or which have been the latest installed in past remodeling projects. In the event the bidder is uncertain as to what materials are requested, the bidder should suggest the material and provide a total cost for the material and installation. The repairs, including all materials and labor necessary for the installation are as follows: 1. Reseal roof flashing around the entirety of the building's roof. 2. Repair or replace guttering around the entire building. 3. Repair roof covering bell tower. 4. Replace mezzanine drain with appropriately sized and designed drain to stop flooding.. 5. Replace front door entrance assembly. 6. Repair or replace west entry door assembly. 7. Install bay heater and ducting according to the engineering plans as provided. 8. Repair, fabricate and seal a closure assembly around a fire pole. 9. Construct and install doors in the apparatus and bunker gear storage area. 10. Replace two windows on the north wall of the bedroom. 11. Replace one window in the day room/living area. 12. Replace two west facing double balcony doors and replace or repair surrounding building structure. 13. Replace and combine balconies into a single unit. 14. Remodel of training rooms, including: o Replace light fixtures. o Replace drop ceiling titles. o Replace carpet. o Seal or repair windows. o Repair water damaged walls and repaint entire room. o Purchase, Install and wire Epson - Pro EX9240 3LCD Full HD 1080p Wireless Projector
