Installation and replacement of various electrical distribution system assets throughout the City of Edmonton. Individual project locations and scope will vary throughout the year but may include cable replacement projects, neighborhood renewals, new circuit installations, circuit conversions and other various asset management and life cycle replacement programs. As outlined in Appendix 1 (Information), there are distinct scopes of Work for this RFP. The distinct scopes of Work include cable replacement, customer engineering services, and construction services. Construction services include faulted services repair, security lighting installation, ground grid replacement and/or installation, fiber optic installation and topographic work. To meet its operational needs, EPCOR intends to execute up to eight (8) Master Service Agreements ("MSA"; the "Contract") with more than one Successful Proponent, with the intention of having a primary Contractor (MSA holder who is the highest scoring Proponent in the RFP) and alternate Contractors (MSA holders who are the second, third, fourth, etc. scoring Proponents for this the RFP) for the scope of Work. Notwithstanding, EPCOR reserves the right to engage all Successful Proponents to compete Work, at any time, in its sole discretion.
