The substation equipment maintenance is conducted once every 3 years during the fall when system load is at a minimum. The contract term will be approximately 4 to 6 weeks and all work is to be completed by the first week of December, 2024 Vendor to furnish all material, labor and equipment to perform inspections tests, adjustments, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment owned by the City, as per following attached bid specifications The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to purchase any part of the whole of items bid upon, to waive any informalities, and to award this contract as determined to be the most advantageous to the City. The City reserves the right to terminate this contract with a 30 day written notice if service and/or parts become unsatisfactory For more information regarding this contract contact Jimmy Blankenship @ 276-403-5217 or Daniel Morrison @ 276-252-7675 Each bid must be accompanied by a deposit equal to 5% of the net price bid; this deposit may consist of a cashier's check issued by or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia or on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit insurance Corporation, or a U.S. Money Order, payable to the City of Martinsville, or a 5% Bid Bond issued by any insurance company authorized to do business in Virginia to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the oblige upon said bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. The stated deposit shall be retained by the Purchaser if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract within thirty days after the award or fails to give satisfactory surety required herein
