The project scope for the interior exhibit's installation includes: Mural installation: Work includes the installation of Dreamscape graphic wall panels in the clerestory area as indicated in the bid package. The contractor will have to work with the existing conditions of the facility will be responsible for removal and reinstallation of light fixtures as required for installation of murals. Hanging Ceiling elements: The work includes hanging the sculptural elements in the exhibit spaces. The work will be completed with the supervision and guidance of the exhibit fabrication consultant and MDC personnel. All hardware will be provided by the exhibit fabrication consultant. Details about the type of hardware, the tools used, and the installation methods are outlined in the specifications. All equipment needed for hanging the mural needs to be provided by the installer. Any equipment used must not scuff or mar the polished concrete floors. The artwork is composed of fabric and acrylic elements attached to 1.5" diameter thick aluminum hoops attached with aircraft cable. The weight of each 6' diameter hoop is approximately 20 lbs. The weight of the 65' Banner unit is approximately 85-90 lbs. The weight of the 15' Banner unit is approximately 30 lbs. The installer must follow the installation preparation guidance as specified in the installation instructions attached.
