As of December 30, 2024 bids were canceled. Bids are for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performance of work for improvements to both the Towns Main Pump Station and the Industrial Park Pump Station along with the installation of a SCADA System to both stations. question Deadline 09/24/2024 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer Scope 1. Work consists of all necessary provisions for designing, furnishing, installing, maintaining, operating and removing temporary dewatering systems as required to lower and control water levels and hydrostatic pressures during construction; disposing of pumped water; constructing, maintaining, observing and, except where indicated or required to remain in place, removing of observation wells; and instrumentation for control of the system. 2. Dewatering includes lowering the water table and intersecting seepage which would otherwise emerge from the slopes or bottom of the excavation; increasing the stability of excavated slopes; preventing loss of material from beneath the slopes or bottom of the excavation; reducing lateral loads on sheeting and bracing; improving the excavation and hauling characteristics of sandy soil; and preventing rupture or heaving of the bottom of an excavation.
