The general scope of work for the project includes upgrading the existing fire panel and field devices, new power and data drops throughout the building, Upgrades to Network Rack in IT Room, EV charging station electrical run and installation, complete interior/exterior lighting retrofit, security cameras, and access card reader installations. You are invited to bid on an electrical upgrade at the P. Faith McMahon Wintonbury Library, located at 1015 Blue Hills Avenue, Bloomfield, CT 06002. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the Base bid and in the form of surety bond, cashier's check or certified check pledging that the Bidder will enter into a contract with the Owner on the items stated in his Bid and will, if required, furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Should the Bidder refuse to enter into such Contract or fail to furnish such bonds if required, the amount of the bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. Prior to execution of the Contract, the Bidder shall furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder in 100 % of the bid amount. Bonds may be secured through the Bidder's usual sources. The cost of furnishing such bonds shall be included in the Bid. The bonds shall be written on AIA Document A311, Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond.
