Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Memphis, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The contractor will provide labor, equipment andmaterials needed to complete the EST4 project. The contractor will remove the Fire Alarm system components associated with the current EST 3 Fire Alarm system that will be replaced with the EST 4 upgrade. The contractor will install the new EST 4 Fire Alarm system at building I containing: The Federal Bureau of Prison (FBOP), Federal Correctional Institution Memphis, TN is a facility with a rated capacity of 862 low-security inmates within a secure perimeter fence. The current Edwards EST3 Fire Alarm System at FCI Memphis is being upgraded to EST 4 due to being unreliable and problematice. Building 1 has a booster system currently from the adjacent Building B to include pull stations, horns, and strobes. The building was a factory and now being reappropriated to a programming unit for the inmate population.
