Renovation of a military facility in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

A. Scope: The work covered by these specifications consists of furnishing all plant, supervision, labor, equipment and materials required to renovate designated portions of the Hunter Army Airfield Express Building in accordance with these specifications, applicable drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. B. Location: The work to be performed is in the Hunter Army Airfield Express Building, at 931 Duncan Dr, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia 31409, with access to the site location described as follows: 1. Access Post through security perimeter via State Route 21/Interstate 516 (W.F. Lynes Pkwy) and turn onto Montgomery St and follow through the Montgomery (Main) Gate. 2. Continue W on Duncan Dr for approximately .25 miles and turn left on Leonard Neal Street and the Express Building will be on the right side of the road. C. Principal Features: 1. Phased selective demolition of designated exterior elements indicated including but not limited to: a. Roof elements: 1.) Standing seam metal roofing system for new roof mounted equipment. 2.) Cutting new openings in roof deck for equipment penetrations. 2. Phased selective demolition of designated interior building elements indicated including but not limited to: a. Electrical work: 1.) Lighting fixtures and branch circuits. 2.) Power devices and branch circuits. 3.) Hardwired equipment disconnects. 4.) FA/MN and other special system devices and circuits. 5.) Other Electrical work commensurate with scope of demolition. b. Mechanical work: 1.) Diffusers and grilles. 2.) Ductwork. 3.) Other Mechanical work commensurate with scope of demolition. c. Plumbing work: 1.) Hard piped equipment disconnects. 2.) Below slab waste piping. 3.) Above slab supply and vent piping. 4.) Other Plumbing work commensurate with scope of demolition. d. Sprinkler work: 1.) Isolation and temporary shutdown of branch lines for demolition. 2.) Heads and drops. 3.) Piping. e. General work: 1.) Vinyl base and corner guards. 2.) Disconnect major hard wired/hard piped fixtures, furnishings, equipment and accessories at current Snack Avenue, retail areas, and checkout. 3.) Countertops and casework. 4.) ACT ceiling, grid/suspension system. 5.) Framed gypsum board ceiling systems and soffits. 6.) Stud and gypsum drywall partitions. 7.) Steel protection plates and gypsum drywall to face of studs or furring. 8.) CT floor finishes including mortar bed to concrete slab. 9.) Sawcut and remove concrete slab-on-grade in designated areas for new under-slab sanitary sewer piping. 10.) Other incidental demolition work indicated Addendum #1-#2 have been issued as of 9-17-2024.
