The Town of Danville (hereinafter "Town") is requesting proposals from qualified firms for professional traffic counting services for its 2024 town-wide traffic counts to be conducted from September 24 through October 30, 2024, except during the period of October 3 through 11, 2024 The contract includes the collection of 36 daily traffic volume (machine) counts as listed in Exhibit A of this document and intersection turning movement counts for AM, midday (school PM), and commute PM peak period at 28 locations as listed in Exhibit B of this document. The Consultant (hereinafter "Consultant") shall complete ADT volume machine counts on various street segments for a period of 48-hours. For each intersection in the turning movement count list, the Consultant shall perform simultaneous vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic volume counts during the morning, midday, and/or afternoon peak commute hours. The Town's Transportation Department may, at its discretion, amend or delete a street segment or an intersection from the ADT and turning movement count lists at any time by giving the Consultant not less than forty-eight (48) hours either oral or written notice prior to the scheduled day of the traffic count.
