Request for Proposals First Avenue East The City of Rock Rapids, Iowa is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the repair of approximately 2000 square feet of First Avenue East Street between Sturdevants Auto Parts and Congress Street. The project involves the removal of existing asphalt and the installation of concrete pavement. The work to be performed under this contract shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Removal of existing asphalt pavement Saw cutting edges for a clean finish Grading and preparation of the base Replacement of damaged curbs Installation of 6 inches of concrete pavement with a crown on center Traffic control and management during construction Work completed by November 15, 2024 Within the bid, please include the labor price per square foot as the footage is an estimate. The concrete for this project will come from Tri-State Ready Mix which the City will pay them directly, so do not include the cost within the bid.
