The project is expected to be awarded on December 18, 2024.** Bridge Rehabilitation for County Bridge 40 Background: The Chester County Department of Facilities desires to rehabilitate County Bridge #40. The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, and materials to accomplish the following: Cleaning and painting the steel floor system and bearings, replacing the cedar shake roof (cedar shakes provided by the County), replacing select damaged shed boards (material provided by the County), repairing guide rail, and repairing a bridge seat. The complete description of the work required to complete this project is contained within this package. The work at Bridge #40 is to be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of PennDOT Pub. 408, Standard Specifications, and the Special Provisions. Materials to be listed on Bulletin 15 and submitted for approval on Form CS-200. Bidder and subcontractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified in the appropriate Work Class Codes to qualify for consideration on this project. Bidder shall indicate Prequalification Numbers, expiration dates, and ability factors as necessary. 2.0 Location: County Bridge #40, Hickory Hill Road over Little Elk Creek in Elk Township, Chester County, PA.
