Description

Renovation of a laboratory facility in Fountain Valley, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.

As of November 18, 2025, the RFB and supplemental documents are in the process of being scoped out. All exhibits and documents will be solicited in the RFB packet. Start date is estimated to be early 2026. The Orange County Water District is seeking submittals from experienced firms who can provide information on flooring design and installation services for the research and development lab building. Please send all questions to Ashlie Valencia, Contracts Administrator, at procurement@ocwd.com. All questions must be titled "Question - R&D Lab Flooring" and be submitted in writing by 12 p.m. on Monday, September 16. ANTICIPATED SCOPE OF WORK The anticipated scope of this project includes the following services: o Investigate types of flooring materials suitable for laboratories and provide recommendations on laboratory flooring. Furnish all equipment, labor, and materials to perform installation of flooring. o Provide flooring choices for offices, stairs and hallways. Choices should include carpeting, tile, vinyl and/or any other available flooring type that is designed for highly trafficked areas in commercial buildings. o Removal and disposal of old flooring from hallways, offices, stairs, and laboratories. o Install new flooring in offices, hallways, stairs, and laboratories. Optional Project Tasks: o Move office furniture before removal of old carpet and flooring. o Move office furniture back to original position after new flooring is installed.
