The GCSS is seeking proposals from qualified contractors (Contractor) to provide HVAC Modifications to Building 5015 located at Gordon Central High School in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications set forth in this solicitation. It is the contractor's responsibility to thoroughly examine the project and fully understand the conditions that may affect the work proposed. Failure to inspect the site will not relieve the successful contractor from the need to finish materials or perform any labor necessary for satisfactory completion of work. GCHS HVAC Modifications to Building 5015 Bid Bond: Bidders must furnish a Bid Bond in the bid package. The Bid Bond shall be payable to Gordon County School System in the amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Bid Amount. Contractor shall honor its proposal for 60 days following the opening of the proposals. Performance and Labor & Material Payment Bonds: The accepted bidder (contractor) shall furnish a proper Performance Bond and Labor & Material Bond covering the full amount of the Contract Price as security for the faithful performance of all work under the Contract and payment of all charges in connection therewith. The cost of these bonds shall be included in the contractor's bid. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Only vendors that attend the mandatory meeting may email questions to Mr. Ron Norrell, Facility Director, by e-mail (rnorrell@gcbe.org). The deadline for questions is no later than September 13, 2024, 12:00 pm EST. Response to all questions shall be emailed to the vendors who attended the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting no later than September 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm EST. The Gordon County School System reserves the right to accept, reject all offers or to waive any irregularity in proposals whichever is in the best interest of Gordon County School System. Additionally, the Gordon County School System may unilaterally terminate this contract in whole or in part, for the school system's convenience, availability of unobligated funds, or because of failure of the contractor to fulfill the contract obligations in any respect. The GCSS reserves the right to waive any formalities and to select or reject any and all responses as a result of this Request for Proposal. The GCSS is not liable for any costs incurred by any person or firm responding to this Request for Proposal.
