Board of Alderpersons of the City of Hillsboro, Missouri, P.O. Box 19, 101 Main Street, Hillsboro, Jefferson County, Missouri 63050, does hereby request proposals from firms providing collection and disposal of residential solid waste to provide services under a contract with the City to all residences within the City Limits for a set price payable by the City for an approximately five (5) year period beginning on or about November 1, 2024. The City has a recycling program; once a week pick-up of recyclable and non-recyclable solid waste; a white goods pick-up upon telephonic request and an additional fee paid by the resident; two (2) clean up days per year; yard waste pick-up; the provision for additional or replacement containers for residential use; separate provision of individual contracts between the solid waste contractor and residents for disposal of larger amounts of construction debris; services provided to City Park, City maintenance facility, City wastewater treatment facility, and IRS section 501(2)(3) and (c)(4) charitable organizations; requirements for liability and worker's compensation insurance coverage; availability of the contractor to separately arrange commercial collection with commercial firms without City participation; established collection rates; provisions for required qualifications for contractor's personnel; provisions for handling customer complaints; provisions for keeping of books and records and making necessary reports; and other provisions. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all formalities with respect to proposals. All proposals should contain the name, address, telephone number, email address and facsimile number of all persons authorized to communicate with the City regarding terms of any contract for service.
