The City is seeking proposals for professional design and construction services with an experienced team to develop a scenic overlook platform and accessible parking space at Guerrier Hill Park (see attached rendering by Snyder and Associates). The City of Atchison, Kansas (City) is seeking proposals for professional design and construction services for the Design-Build of a scenic overlook area at Guerrier Hill Park in Atchison, Kansas. Competitive sealed proposals will be evaluated based upon criteria formulated around the most important features of the service. This improvement project will be funded in part by a Land & Water Conservation Fund grant administered by the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks. Guerrier Hill Park is accessed by first entering Jackson Park, located at 1500 S 6th Street in Atchison, Kansas. After entering Jackson Park, follow the paved drive past the shelter houses and onto the gravel drive near the sand volleyball courts. Follow the winding gravel drive and take a right at the fork. Continue following the gravel drive until you reach the top of Guerrier Hill Park, which features a gravel parking area surrounded by natural limestone boulders. The City of Atchison reserves the right to reject any and/or all submittals, and all submittals will become property of the City of Atchison.
