Fall 2024 Tree Removal, Stump Removal and Restoration Services, and Tree Pruning All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid bond in a minimum amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid. Projects consist of removing trees, grinding and restoring stumps, and pruning trees within public rights-of-way in the City of Chicago Heights. Contractor to be compensated for removal and pruning based on the diameter/size class of the tree removed or pruned respectively. Stump grinding and restoration will be reimbursed on a "per stump" basis. The City of Chicago Heights reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities, if to do so is in the best interest of the City. Pursuant to Chapter II, Article VI - Sections 2-235/2-239 of the City of Chicago Heights Code of Ordinances, it is the policy of the City of Chicago Heights to promote and encourage the continuing economic development of minority, female and persons with disabilities owned and operated businesses in the City's procurement process as both the prime and subcontractors. In furtherance of this policy, please provide information that may assist the City in determining your qualifications under said plan and policy.
