The City of Doraville is seeking a qualified and experienced Contractor to install curb, gutter and concrete median islands within the Special Tax District. Questions are due no later than Friday, September 20, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. EST The services to be performed under this Contract shall commence upon the date stated in the Notice to Proceed Letter. The contract period for this contract is 60 days from the date stated in the Notice to Proceed Letter. Upon the completion of the full scope of work the contract shall terminate absolutely and without further obligation as required by O.C.G.A. 36-60-13, as amended, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the provisions of this Contract. The City of Doraville reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities, and to make an award in the best interest of the City of Doraville. 1. Installation of Raised Concrete Traffic Islands a. Tilly Mill Road at Home Depot Entrance (3) Repair and replace three existing concrete Islands. b. Winters Chapel Road (3) Remove small, grassed islands between 4064 Winters Chapel Road and Woodwin Road. The area of three Islands is 145' X 6, 221' X 6', 128' X 6'. c. Winter Chapel Road/Winter Chapel Road Connector (1) Saw-cut and remove existing asphalt pavement and Install Concrete Island on existing striping. d. Winters Chapel Road/Woodwin Road Saw-cut and remove existing asphalt pavement and Install Concrete Island. e. Amwiler Road/Winters Chapel Road (2) Saw cut and remove asphalt, install Concrete Islands. 2. Installation of Concrete Curb & Gutter a. Winters Chapel Road From 4340 Winters Chapel Road to Homeland Drive) - 1110 LF Remove existing Granite curb and return to Public Works Department located at 3883 Flowers Road, Doraville GA, 30340; Saw-cut existing asphalt pavement and Install 18-inch Curb and Gutter; Tie-in 13 existing driveways, Tie-in at the first driveway at Homeland Drive. The new Gutter shall be located where the existing granite curb is located; Where no granite curb is present, Curb shall be located at a same distance from the white striping as where Granite curb is present. b. Tilly Mill Road From Woodwin Road to Existing Curb, 210 LF of Curb & Gutter Install Curb & Gutter at the edge of existing pavement 3. Turn Radius Improvements Increase turn radius and install curb and Gutter on the radius, included utility relocation as needed. a. Woodwin Road and Johnys Lane (right turn from north bound Woodwin Road) Relocate existing Power pole, Install curb & Gutter, remove additional pavement behind the new Curb on Johnys Lane, Grind & Remove existing crosswalk, Reinstall Crosswalk with two HC Ramps. New Pavement shall include b. Woodwin Road and Tilly Mill Road (right turn from north bound Woodwin Road) Remove tree, Install Curb and Gutter on the radius, tie-in new curb and gutter, Remove and restripe Stop Bar, Crosswalk, remove and re-install signs, Install HC Ramp at the end of Crosswalk.
