The Town of Hartford, VT Parks and Recreation Department is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for the supply of and installation of gravel to the walking pathway and parking lots at the Maxfield Sports Complex. The existing access road, parking lots and pathways consist of a gravel hardpack aggregate. Grading and reconditioning the parking lots and pathways with new crushed natural aggregate (3/4" Twin Pack for roadway and parking spaces and 3/8" Twin Pack for the pathways). The pathways, where soil erosion has infiltrated the gravel is to be removed and replaced with new. All surface areas to be box blade graded and compact rolled following application. Maintenance and reconditioning of the existing gravel walking path with new aggregate. Existing walking path loop is .9 miles and 7' wide with surrounding facilities consisting of gravel surfaces. Removal of existing grade down 2" for new placement of 2" thickness 3/8" Twin Pack. Removed gravel to be stockpiled on site. All gravel surfaces to be box blade graded and compact rolled. Maintenance and reconditioning of the gravel access roadways and parking lots. Parking lot to be graded and reconditioned, leveling roadway wear patterns and potholes. Top dressed with 2" of 3/4" Twin Pack. The Scope of Work by the Contractor for each item shall include furnishing all supervision, technical personnel, layout, labor, materials, tools, appurtenances, equipment, traffic control, erosion control, staging, disposal sites and services, mobilization/demobilization, sweeping, insurances, and services required to perform the work as described in this Request for Bids.
