Site work for a water / sewer project in Valdez, Alaska. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The purpose of this document is to solicit qualifications from a team consisting of professional designers and licensed contractors to provide Design Build services for the replacement of a failed mooring dolphin at the City of Valdez Kelsey Municipal Dock. The selected firm will be responsible for all design, permitting, construction, and project inspections and close-out required to furnish a suitable replacement. Ancillary scope may include dock modifications, dredging, and utility modifications to ensure adequate cruise ship dockings in the future. Any questions regarding this project should be directed to Nathan Duval, Capital Facilities Director, nduval@valdezak.gov and copied to the Ports & Harbors Director Jeremy Talbott, JTalbott@valdezak.gov. Questions will be received until 4:00pm September 24, 2024. All questions will be answered formally in writing via addendum and the City assumes all addenda are received if a response is submitted. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
