SCOPE The City of Valdosta will purchase one stationary diesel generator with sound attenuated enclosure and automatic transfer switch. The project would install a new diesel-powered standby generator with 100 kw capacity. The generator will start automatically and switch operations to the backup power generator. The generator would be sized to operate the entire facility for multiple days during extended power outage and automatically switch to generator power whenever a utility power outage occurs. The purpose for the generator is to provide emergency backup electrical power for Lab testing equipment and functions required to be upheld by state permit/ consent order. All generator proposals submitted for consideration will be NFPA compliant and adequately sized for each location. The operator interface will afford comprehensive monitoring of the genset. Engine will meet tier 3 emissions standards at minimum. The generator set and ATS will be covered by a 1-year warranty at minimum. The City of Valdosta reserves the right to accept any or all bids or to choose the bid considered to be in their best interest.
