This Request for Proposals (RFP) was prepared to solicit proposals from qualified responsible contractors to provide cleaning services for Town of New Canaan municipal buildings. Owner attentiveness and the ability to have personnel on site quickly to respond to unanticipated events will be key factors in the Town's evaluation of proposals. The Town desires that the supervisor and all cleaning staff providing services at the Town's municipal buildings will reside within a reasonable travel distance. Accordingly, preference will be given to contractors owned, directly or indirectly, by less than ten individuals and that directly employ supervisory and cleaning staff that reside within a ten-mile radius of New Canaan Town Hall. The services are to be performed at the following locations: 1. Ambulance Corp 174 South Ave 2. Highway Department 139 Lakeview Ave 3. Parks Department 63 Farm Road 4. Police Department 174 South Ave 5. Railroad Station 198 Elm St 6. Lapham Community Center 677 South Ave 7. Town Hall Annex, Human Services 77a Main St 8. Town Hall 77 Main St 9. Wastewater Treatment Plant 139 Lakeview Ave 10. Waveny House 677 South Ave 11. Irwin Main House 848 Weed St 12. Vine Cottage Health Dept. 61 Main St 13. Waveny Park Bathroom 677 South Ave The following locations are seasonal: 1. Waveny Pool 140 Lapham Rd 2. Waveny Lodge Dog Park Bathroom 96 Lapham Rd 3. Waveny Lodge 96 Lapham Rd 4. Kiwanis Park Locker Rooms/Bathroom 77 Old Norwalk Rd 5. Mead Park Lodge Bathrooms 241 Park St The term of the contract will be for three years beginning on July 1, 2025 and ending on June 30, 2028. No contractor may withdraw his proposal within 90 days after the actual date of the RFP opening. Additionally, the contract documents will require the prompt commencement of the cleaning services as scheduled. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof, to waive defects in the same, or to accept any proposal or any part thereof deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of New Canaan, Connecticut.
