Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in College Place, Washington. Design plans call for the renovation of a 9,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center.
As of March 26, 2025, this project is in the design phase. Construction should begin in late 2026. City of College Place (City) is seeking written Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from architectural firms to design a multistory structure that will replace the existing community center (801 SE Larch Avenue, College Place, WA). The replacement Community Center needs to fit within a 9,000 square foot footprint. The replacement structure must aesthetically blend in with the surrounding park. Lions Park is undergoing a $7 million dollar transformation and is slated to reopen in May 2025. This project is phase II and will occur after the park reopens. The replacement structure needs to have the following: o 1st Floor o Preschool Classrooms (ECAPP) o Community Room o Commercial Kitchen (designed so Farmers Market Vendors can rent out and cook) o Outdoor Patio o Elevator o 2nd Floor o Rural Library District Branch (at least 6,000 square feet) September 18th, 2024 Announce finalists September 19th thru 24th 2024 Interview over Zoom, if deemed necessary September 30th, 2024 Email out Notice of Selection October 1st to 4th, 2024 Complete contract negotiations October 8 th, 2024 Council authorize Mayor & City Administrator to sign and execute consultant contract. The City in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, non discrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. : The procurement of these consultant services will be in accordance with applicable city, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and procedures. The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals received. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
