This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in St. John's, Newfoundland. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

The work or service provided under this contract shall comply with all applicable and appropriate municipal by- laws, provincial statutes and regulations, latest edition of the National Building Code of Canada, to currently adopted provincial or municipal codes relating to electrical work, plumbing and other mechanical work, and to the Fire Prevention Act, as amended, including life safety codes and other codes currently adopted under that Act. The Contractor must also be familiar with federal and provincial legislation relating to employees including working conditions, wage rates, statutory deductions, holidays and insurance coverage. The Contractor shall repair any damage caused by the Contractor or its subcontractors within seventy-two (72) hours or within 72 hours of such damage will provide NLHC with a plan to repair such damage that is acceptable to NLHC. If the plan of repair is not implemented to NLHC's satisfaction then NLHC may terminate this Contract on 72 hours notice to the Contractor. In the event of such termination NLHC will pay the Contractor an amount equal to the Contract price less an amount that represents the cost, in the opinion of NLHC, to correct the damage and complete the remainder of the work. Commercial General Liability Insurance: Without restricting the generality of Section 5 - Indemnity hereof, the Contractor shall maintain, at its expense, Commercial General Liability Insurance acceptable to NLHC to protect NLHC against all liabilities or damages in respect of injuries to persons (including injuries resulting in death) in the minimum amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) with respect to the operations of the Contractor and/or its Sub-Contractors and in respect of damages to property arising out of performance of the Work. This insurance shall include NLHC and the occupant of the property as Additional Insureds. The Contractor shall not commence any work until a Certificate of Insurance, obtained at the Contractor's expense, has been received and approved by NLHC as specified herein.
