The scope of work is generally described as the construction of plant modifications which consist of well header piping, wet connection, chemical feed system modifications, electrical and control modifications, restoration of the project site and miscellaneous items. Another construction contract (Contract A) to provide for the Liberty County FWSD 1 Hull Water Plant No. 1 Water Well No. 2 Well Construction (i.e. pilot test hole, water well production, well header, etc.) may be under construction concurrently with this project. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Water Well Contractor (Contract A) for lay down and other use of the site. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Liberty County Fresh Water Supply District 1 Hull or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond Bids may be held by the Liberty County Fresh Water Supply District 1 Hull for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
