As of November 5, 2024, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. It is anticipated construction will start in 2025. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Project Background In 2024, the City of Broadview Heights was awarded $150,000.00 through the Cuyahoga County 50/50 Funding Program for the resurfacing of Avery Road from Royalton Road to Oakes Road. The project construction cost is expected not to exceed $1,200,000.00. The project shall reach final completion November 14th of 2025. Develop a civil site plan set for the improvement of Avery Road as directed by the City Engineer. The plan shall include but is not limited to the following: Roadway Reconstruction Cross Section, Storm Sewer Design to Improve & Remove the Existing Ditch System, Proposed Grading, Full Depth Stabilization Specifications or Approved Equal, Realignment, and Widening of the Roadway as Needed, Material Details, Specifications, and Applicable Cross Sections, Bike Lane or Multipurpose Path Design and Feasibility Determination, Curb & Gutter Shall Not Be Proposed.
