Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Norridge, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.
The Work in General Includes, but is Not Limited to, Sitework, General Remodeling of Multiple Spaces Including a Media Center, Steam Lab, General Classrooms, and Toilet Rooms With Removal, Replacement, or New Installation of Casework, Walls, Doors, Windows, Finishes, Lighting, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Equipment/fixtures. Work is to Be Awarded as a Single Contract. A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is Required With the Proposal. The Contractor Must Pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for All Work Per Illinois Law. All Prospective Bidders Are Encouraged to Attend. It is the Policy of the District to Provide Equal Opportunity to All Qualified Businesses in the Awarding of Contracts and Accordingly Promotes the Utilization of Diversified Businesses to the Maximum Extent Feasible in Any Contract Issued Against the Solicitation to Bid. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, to Waive Irregularities in the Bidding Procedure, or Accept Bid(S) That, in Its Opinion, Will Serve the Best Interest of the District. Any Such Decision Shall Be Considered Final. The Owner Reserves the Right to Set Aside a Bid From a Contractor Who, in the Owner's Opinion, Does Not Exhibit Past Experience Equal to the Size and Scope of This Project. The Bidder Shall Have a Written Sexual Harassment Policy in Place in Full Compliance With Section 2-105 of the Illinois Human Rights Act.
