President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Norridge, Cook County, Illinois, that sealed bids will be received for the following Improvement: Oketo Avenue Sanitary Replacement DCEO Improvements Village of Norridge, Illinois The scope of construction will include the installation of new large diameter RCP storm sewer, replacement of impacted 6 sanitary services,pavement and landscape restoration, and other necessary work to ensure satisfactory completion. The Engineer has been authorized to refuse to issue plans,specifications and proposals to any person, firm, or corporation that he considers to be unqualified. Proposals must be submitted on the form provided. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check, or certified check in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that if the bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into, and the performance of the contract is properly secured. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the President and the Board of Trustees of the Village of Norridge for a period of 45 days after the scheduled time of opening bids. The selected Contractor will need to provide the following Contract Amounts to DBEs: $90,000 to Minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs or WMBEs) $50,000 to women-owned business enterprises (WBEs or WMBEs) or persons with disabilities- owned business enterprises (PBE) A total amount of $140,000 must be DBE Contractors or Sub-Contractors. The successful bidder for the construction of the improvement will be required to file a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, with sureties to be approved by the President and Board of Trustees, which performance bonds shall be conditioned upon proper and faithful performance by the Contractor of the work specified in accordance with the plans and specification therefore, according to the time and terms and conditions of the contract; and also that the bidder and contractor shall properly pay all debts incurred by the Contractor in the execution of the work, including those for labor and materials furnished. The Village reserves the rights to determine the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, to waive irregularities, and to reject any or all bid proposals.
