The scope of construction includes the installation of new large diameter RCP storm sewer, replacement of impacted 6 sanitary services, pavement and landscape restoration, and other necessary work to ensure satisfactory completion. Instructions to bidders: - Sealed bids must be received at the Village Clerk's Office at the Village Hall. - Electronic copies of bidding documents are available from the office of the Engineer, Edwin Hancock Engineering Co., via email request upon payment of $30.00 (non-refundable). - The Engineer may refuse to issue documents to unqualified bidders. - No proposals will be issued after 5:00 P.M. on the specified date. - No questions or clarifications will be allowed after 5:00 P.M. on the specified date. - Proposals must be submitted on the provided form. - All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid as a guarantee. - No bid shall be withdrawn after opening without consent for 45 days after opening. - The selected Contractor must allocate $90,000 to Minority-owned business enterprises and $50,000 to women-owned or persons with disabilities-owned business enterprises, totaling $140,000 to DBE Contractors or Sub-Contractors. - The successful bidder must file a performance bond equal to 100% of the bid and provide sufficient insurance or guaranty of indemnity against all claims for damages during construction until final acceptance. - The Village reserves the right to determine the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, to waive irregularities, and to reject any or all bids. - Compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations is required for contractors and subcontractors.
