The Town of Newstead is seeking Requests for Proposals to repair/rehabilitate the shelter restrooms and kitchen/utility area at Veterans Park located at 5929 Buell St in Akron, NY 14001. SCOPE OF WORK: Men's bathroom: Replace about 20'x4' wainscoting with paneling that is water impervious. Replace stall dividers around 2 toilets and 1 urinal Replace 8' light fixture of 1 bank with 2 bulbs with LED fixture. Attach deflectors to deflect air from hand driers. Clean, paint, seal concrete floor. Women's bathroom: Replace about 20'x4' wainscoting with paneling that is water impervious. Replace stall dividers around 3 toilets. Replace 8' light fixture of 1 bank with 2 bulbs with LED fixture. Attach deflectors to deflect air from hand driers. Clean, paint, seal concrete floor. Kitchen/Utility Room: Install 6'-8' kitchen counter with sink and hardware. Replace Electric Hot Water heater. Clean, paint, seal concrete floor. Project is budgeted for 2025 so work may begin after January 1, 2025 and must be completed before shelter opens April 1, 2025. Proposals must include supplying all materials, tools, and labor, to install proposed roof system. Please provide any warranty information related to your proposal. Project is subject to prevailing wage and is tax exempt.
