The Erie County Department of Public Works (DPW) is planning to reconstruct East Avenue. The Village of Akron, therefore, is seeking professional engineering services to replace existing Village watermains and sanitary sewers along East Avenue and several adjoining side streets in advance of the Erie County DPW work. Refer to the attached drawings. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is for the Village project which includes approximately 7,300 LF of 8-inch PVC watermain and 10,200 LF of 8-inch PVC sanitary sewer. The requested services will include but not be limited to topographic survey, geotechnical investigations, design, bidding, construction administration, resident inspection, record drawings, and permitting assistance. Services will also include assistance with environmental compliance including SEQR and SWPPP, and the preparation of necessary forms and applications for governmental funding assistance. The Village is seeking New York State funding for the project which may require MWBE and/or SDVOB participation.
