This project will reduce nutrients, sediment, and bacteria from stormwater that discharges into the Elizabeth River and the Chesapeake Bay. The project will install pretreatment forebays, the creation of wetland areas, an aeration system, and areas of bank restoration along portions of the lake. The project will improve oxygen levels to support aquatic life and minimize algal growth. The project includes the City acquiring the parcel containing the lake.
