LOCATIONS: Milne Grove Elementary School 565 East Seventh Street Lockport, IL 60441 Kelvin Grove Middle School 808 Adams Street Lockport, IL 60441 The project involves work at Milne Grove Elementary School and Kelvin Grove Middle School. The work in general includes, but is not limited to, sitework, a two-story building addition with elevator, general remodeling of multiple spaces including removal, replacement or new installation of walls, doors, windows, finishes, lighting, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/fixtures. Work is to be awarded as a single contract. A Bid Security of 10% of the Bid is required with the proposal. The Contractor must pay the Prevailing Wage Rates for all work per Illinois Law. It is the policy of the District to provide equal opportunity to all qualified businesses in the awarding of contracts and accordingly promotes the utilization of diversified businesses to the maximum extent feasible in any contract issued against the solicitation to bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bidding procedure, or accept Bid(s) that, in its opinion, will serve the best interest of the District. Any such decision shall be considered final. The Owner reserves the right to set aside a Bid from a Contractor who, in the Owner's opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project.
