Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Winter Park, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

In accordance with Section 287.055 (10), Florida Statutes, the City of Winter Park declares that all or any portion of the documents and work papers prepared and submitted pursuant to this Request for Proposal shall be subject to reuse by the City. Scope of Services 2.1. West Meadow The selected Contractor shall provide the following services: A. Construction: Construction of a restroom/public facility as designed and developed by outside consultants hired by the City under professional services agreements. This includes permit coordination, construction of restrooms, pavilion space, storage for the city's Park's Department, and medical space for Fire/EMS. Construction also includes but is not limited to, site preparation, equipment installation, lighting and safety, amenities, signage, and utility connection in accordance with the approved design and construction documents. B. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout construction to ensure compliance with safety standards, accessibility guidelines, and industry best practices. All facility equipment, site layout, and surfacing shall conform to all relevant safety standards for lead paint, use of hazardous materials, use zones, spacing, entanglement, protrusion, and entrapment hazards. C. Project Management: Provide comprehensive project management services, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and regular progress reporting. D. Existing Structures and Landscape: Nearby existing asphalt, curbs, or other surfacing, lawn areas, trees, etc., shall be retained and protected during all work unless specified in the The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the selection process, reject any or all responses, or re-advertise. Question Deadline 09/24/2024 at 10:00 AM ET The Construction Manager at Risk will be responsible for the project and provide a broad range of services, including, but not limited to, the following services: o Construction Manager's Responsibilities o Preconstruction Phase o Collaborate with the project team; o Prepare detailed construction cost estimates and provide constructability reviews of design submittals; o Maintain and update the detailed project schedule; o Work with the City and design team during development to proactively save on cost through Value Engineering initiatives that will not sacrifice safety, quality, or aesthetics; o Develop bidder's interest in the Project; o Set up and manage the prequalification process; o Identify long lead items and opportunities to benefit from economies of scale during the procurement of materials and equipment; o Determine construction easements if applicable. o GMP Proposal and contract time o Develop scope of work descriptions and bid packages based on design documents; o Print and distribute bid documents to the pre-qualified bidders; o Conduct bid scope meetings with the lowest and best value bid package bidders; o Present GMP proposal to the City for acceptance. o Construction Phase o Conduct the pre-construction meeting. Discuss site management (mobilization, establishing staging, storage, and delivery areas); establish shop drawings/submittal and RFI protocols; o Attend public meetings as requested (City Commission and Community Meetings); o Pick up building permits; o Provide construction field management, oversight, and supervision. Responsible for construction compliance with design documents; o Maintain interactive project management software that will ensure the quick and effective communication of information amongst project participants; Procurement Division CITY OF WINTER PARK, FLORIDA 9 o Implement and maintain a safety program, provide temporary safety-related signage and site security, and report on safety observations; o Initiate, track, review, and distribute shop drawings, submittals, and RFI's; o Conduct construction progress meetings; o Maintain daily field reports and progress photos; o Maintain As-Built drawings; o Provide a monthly schedule update. Evaluate and report on project schedule performance; o Maintain a system of cost control. Evaluate and track change orders; o Submit monthly payment applications o Correct punch list deficiencies and manage punch list completion; o Provide warranty documentation, attic stock, and operation & maintenance manual for the City; o Train City staff on facility operations; o Assist in coordinating warranty work
