Site work, outdoor lighting and renovation of a mixed-use development in Bluffton, South Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

This project consists of the design and construction of improvements to existing Town Parks outside of general maintenance and repairs. Park areas include DuBois Park, Martin Family Park, Wright Family Park, Oscar Frazier Park, Buckwalter Place Park (East and West), and Pritchard Pocket Park. Proposed and future improvements include upgrades to playground surface areas, shade sails, pavilions, site furnishings, restroom upgrades, field replacements and other hardscape, landscape, lighting, and signage additions. The project is included in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of September 10, 2024, construction of a playground expansion at DuBois Park, shade sails at Buckwalter Place Park East, and landscape improvements at Buckwalter Place West were completed in FY 24. A Conceptual Master Plan for Buckwalter Place West was also completed in FY 24. Shade sails at DuBois Park and bulkhead repair at Wright Family Park are planned to FY 25. Future implementation of planned improvements to all these parks will continue over the next 5 years as directed by Town Council and based on input provided by the public. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
