The new units must meet the minimum Virginia SEER Rating of 15.0 as per VA building code requirements. The contractor will be responsible for sourcing, installing, testing, and providing warranty support for the units. The intent of this project is to enter into a contract with a qualified firm to provide a complete and operational system. HVAC System Details: Power Requirements: 3-phase, 460 volts Unit Type: Variable Volume System Cooling: Air-cooled Heating: Gas heat Pre-Installation Phase: Vendor Selection and Procurement: Source new rooftop air handler units from vendors that meet or exceed the specified SEER Rating. Confirm delivery schedule and logistics for equipment to ensure timely arrival. Permitting: Obtain all necessary permits and approvals required for the installation from Pittsylvania County Inspections and VA State requirements. Installation Phase: Mobilization: Mobilize HVAC installation team to the site. Coordinate equipment and manpower for efficient installation. Equipment Installation: Safely remove and dispose of existing Carrier-brand units using crane or suitable equipment. Modify existing roof curbs as required or construct new curbs according to new unit specifications. Connect new units to existing ductwork, electrical supply, and controls. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
