Four Seasons Maintenance Contract '24. Summary of Work The Summary of Work is defined by the Contract Specifications and includes the following: 1. RHA Properties covered under the specifications of this contract a. River Oak Apartments - 125 Fischer Lane Reading, PA 19601 b. Emma Lazarus Townhomes - 334 Orange Street Reading, PA 19602 2. RHA is seeking sealed bids for a four seasons grounds maintenance contract. Successful bidder will provide unit pricing for all the specified services in the documents. 3. Four seasons grounds maintenance contract will include mowing, string trimming, mulching, weed control, Fall clean-up, Spring clean-up and snow/ice removal. All requests for information are to be submitted Reading Housing Authority (RHA) is a local government agency charged with administering the federal Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs for the City of Reading while also serving in the capacity of property manager, service provider and partner entity in a variety of other programs. The mission of the agency is to provide a foundation for people to find a home of hope and achieve their aspirations. RHA reserves the rights to add additional properties to this contract or remove existing properties in this contract, with a 30-day written notice to the contractor. RHA intends shall pay Contractor for performance of the Contract, in current funds, subject to additions and deductions as provided in the contract for completed work meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents, for a period of 12 months. Owner and Contractor may extend the contract by mutual agreement for a period not to exceed two (2) additional one-year terms. RHA intends to award a contract based on the most responsible bid for the work described in the bid documents. RHA reserves the right to award a contract based on some or all of the bid, depending on budgeting requirements. The Reading Housing Authority requires a minimum acceptance period of 60 calendar days. "Acceptance period," as used in this provision, means the number of calendar days available to the Reading Housing Authority for awarding a contract from the date specified in this solicitation for receipt of bids. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days, subsequent to the opening of bids, without the prior written consent of Reading Housing Authority. RHA anticipates the estimated contract start date to begin November 1, 2024, pending approval from the RHA Board of Commissioners.
