Per the owner, as of October 24, 2024, they are still in the initial design phase of the project. A design team has been selected, however the contract has not been awarded yet. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............ Monterey One Water (M1W) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Engineering Services for the Advanced Water Purification Facility Switchgear Replacement Project (Project). The qualified firm will provide engineering services, including site investigations, meetings, preparation of 60% and 100% plan and specifications, bid phase services (utilizing Record Drawings of the AWPF and land survey and geotechnical studies currently in progress under separate contracts), and engineering services during construction. The Project would include excavation/grading, soil compaction, foundation concrete pad, all necessary conduits and electricity connections, seismic anchorage systems, instrumentation and controls strategy, and other appurtenances to replace the existing, failed medium voltage (21 kv) switchgear with new pre-procured switchgear to be delivered in a prefabricated electrical building. Design shall also include demolition specifications and concrete work to prepare the existing site for future reuse for storage of equipment and materials. Respondents are required to seek and encouraged to use certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) on the Project as described in the Request for Proposals.
